This great charity was gifted with a legacy to improve accessibility to users of the Trans Pennine Trail in Longdendale (Torside). The TPT office had also been looking at this and were able to recommend a number of companies to explore. One of these was iHUS who specialise in converting disabled toilets into Changing Place facilities creating a nicer experience for everyone who needs them.
Ben was excellent throughout the whole process and helped us achieve our goal even when we thought it wasn’t possible! The whole team at iHUS made sure our project ran smoothly with the end results being even better than we could have imagined!
On behalf of all are our stakeholders; Peak District National Park, United Utilities and Trans Pennine Trail we would like to say thank you for converting our old toilet block to a fully accessible changing place and enabling us the opportunity to say you have helped us to create the first Friends of Trans Pennine Trail’s funded Changing Place facility!
Fully managed by iHUS throughout, the facility was installed without any issues and features the usual equipment found in a Changing Places toilet, which includes an adult changing bench and hoist system.
The finished product is an excellent use of an existing space that will now provide a Changing Places facility to the people who need it most and their carers when visiting the area.
With over 30 years’ experience in construction, iHUS are one of the UK’s leading disabled adaptations companies – specialising in the design and installation of Changing Places facilities.
