Why Are the Benefits of a Modular Sensory Room?
Sensory rooms are ideal in a range of situations – from respite centres, special schools and increasingly in mainstream schools. A sensory room can be used by children with a range of problems and support needs, most commonly used by children with autism, but children with anxiety, ADHD and behavioural issues also benefit.
Installing a sensory room is a large project for any school and the idea of planning, resources and the disruption a build may cause can seem dauting. It was with these issues in mind that we came up with our unique modular sensory room – as a fast, efficient way to help meet your pupils needs.
Not only will a modular sensory room make a great addition to your education programme, but it can really help improve the time spent at school for pupils who may have difficulties.
Our product is beneficial because of the ease of install. Our standard sensory room comes fully equipped and can be installed and ready to use in less than a week.
This means you don’t have to spend time looking for equipment for your sensory room, trying to find a room that can be converted or planning the layout. All of this is done for you – you just need to choose a location to install the finished sensory room. Usually situated in playgrounds or car parks, the modular sensory room is nearly completed offsite and then placed on your site, meaning that disruption to your school is minimal. Once we have hooked the sensory room up to the utilities needed, it can be ready to be used within a couple of days.
